Player who will disappoint: Michael Thomas

Alvin Kamara is going to put together one of the best games of his young career but on the flip side, Michael Thomas is going to have one of the more absent games of his career. This is not going to be a case of Thomas messing anything up, per se, but that he will not be as involved offensively as he usually is.

The obvious reason here is because of the quarterback situation. Not having Drew Brees under center is absolutely going to have a negative impact on Thomas as he will not get as many downfield throws as Bridgewater is not going to be able to make some of the throws that Brees can make.

You may think that Thomas will be more involved as he will be Bridgewater’s best target. However, knowing that, the Seahawks are absolutely going to target Thomas more than teams typically would and are going to make Bridgewater beat them, not Thomas.

Thomas will not be completely absent but I don’t see him getting over 60 receiving yards in this game, which is definitely a disappointing game for a player of his caliber.

Instead, it is going to be Kamara as well as the quick underneath routes to the likes of Tedd Ginn that Bridgewater will target most frequently.
