The New Orleans Saints have a 2-1 record after three tough games to start the 2019 season and must be better at three specific things.

The New Orleans Saints have had a fairly good start to the 2019 season. The team’s first four games are all against playoff teams from a year ago and through three of those games, the Saints hold a 2-1 record.

This includes a beautiful last-minute drive that was orchestrated by Drew Brees to give the Saints a game-winning field goal over the Texans and a team-effort road win in the rain against the Seattle Seahawks. It is the one game in the middle that has burned the Saints.

The Saints lost the second game of the year in LA to the Los Angeles Rams, but more importantly, lost Drew Brees for at least six weeks with a torn ligament in his right thumb. While this is absolutely concerning, the team was able to silence those concerns a tad with that win in Seattle.

That win was the most impressive and the Saints overall have done some impressive things in three weeks. However, the team has also done some not-so-great things through three weeks as well that have to be improved if they are going to make a true Super Bowl run.

Here are the three areas that we see that the New Orleans Saints must improve in moving forward.
