The New Orleans Saints take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5 in what will be the Saints’ first divisional matchup of the season.

The New Orleans Saints are entering their third game without Drew Brees under center and are 2-0 in games that Teddy Bridgewater started. The Saints escaped the toughest part of their schedule, the first four games, with Brees only playing one whole game and still have a 3-1 record.

The immediate games that lie ahead for the Saints don’t appear to be as daunting of a task as the first four weeks, in which New Orleans played four playoff teams from a year ago. While it is seemingly easier on paper, though, the Saints cannot afford to take any of these games lightly.

They need to win as many games as possible before Brees returns. As long as they keep winning then having the best record in the NFC is absolutely still in the cards.

There is no team that symbolizes the Saints’ need to maintain focus than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While on paper the New Orleans Saints should easily get through the Bucs, Tampa Bay is coming off of a 55-point showing and always gives the Saints fits.

The Bucs are one of those teams, probably because they are a division rival, that will always give the Saints at least one tough game a year. The Saints have not won both games in a season since the 2014 season despite being the better team.

This game is going to be interesting and it is going to be very fun to watch. Here are our three bold predictions for the Week 5 NFC South showdown.
