New Orleans Saints: Why the Saints will fall to the Jacksonville Jaguars

2. Teddy Bridgewater is going to be pressure
The Jacksonville Jaguars made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game and nearly defeated the New England Patriots two seasons ago for one reason and one reason only: the team’s stellar defense.

Despite the team taking a huge step back a year ago, the defense still stands tall as one of the better defenses in the NFL. It has not been as good as it could be thus far this season but the defense still boats some of the most athletic and dynamic playmakers in the league.
It is a scary sight when the Jaguars’ defense is firing on all cylinders and we saw that in Week 3 when the team took on the Tennessee Titans. Marcus Mariota was pressured all night, which included three sacks and five quarterback hits form Calais Campbell, and could not get anything going.
The Jaguars rank sixth in the league in total sacks and are going to pressure Teddy Bridgewater a lot in this game. Although the Saints offensive line is stout, the Jaguars are going to capitalize on the home-field, and the weather, advantage.
We all saw how the Los Angeles Rams’ defensive line was able to get past the Saints’ offensive line, which not only led to Brees’ injury to begin with but also resulted in an ugly game for the Saints.
Bridgewater is going to have all of the same struggles that Mariota had against this defense and after his best game under center, Bridgewater is going to remind us that he is a backup.
