New Orleans Saints: The three strongest areas of the Jacksonville Jaguars
By Jason Reed
The New Orleans Saints head to Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6 as Teddy Bridgewater looks to move to 4-0 as the starting quarterback.
The New Orleans Saints are coming off of a 2-0 homestand in which the defense sucked the life out of the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4 and Teddy Bridgewater had his best game as the Saints’ starting quarterback in Week 5.
The two wins at home, piled with the road win over the Seattle Seahawks, gives the Saints a 4-1 record and Bridgewater a 3-0 record this season in games that he started. This run, although small, has saved the Saints’ season and has given them the chance to once again be the first seed in the NFC.
While it was still likely that the Saints would be a playoff team with Drew Brees missing six weeks, there was the worry of potentially even losing the division. After a blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the game that Brees was injured, it was fair to expect the worst.
The Saints got through the toughest stretch of games without Brees but still have a lot of work to do against the Jaguars, Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals before the bye week. Winning two of the three should be the lowest-possible goal for the Saints, as they can win all three.
The Jaguars pose a tough task in a potential trap game on the road. In order to walk away victorious, the Saints are going to have to neutralize what the Jaguars are best at this season.
Here are the three strongest areas of the Jacksonville Jaguars and what the Saints should be honing in on.
