New Orleans Saints: Reasons to be concerned moving forward
By Jason Reed
The New Orleans Saints were handed their second loss of the season by the Atlanta Falcons, which has some fans worried about what is to come.
The New Orleans Saints were rolling heading into week 10 off of their bye week. The Saints had won six games in a row prior to Sunday, five of which coming while Drew Brees was out and Teddy Bridgewater under center.
The Saints seemingly had an easy task to move to seven in a row against the Atlanta Falcons, who were 1-7 on the year and seemed to be nothing short of a dumpster fire. However, the Falcons reminded us that anything can happen on any given Sunday and stunned the Saints in blowout fashion.
Some have entered panic mode after this game and we already urged the fans not too. Most good teams lay eggs like the Saints did in Week 10 and lose a game they really have no business of losing. Heck, it happened to the Saints last year against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and that team was fine.
However, it would be equally unjust to completely ignore potential points of concern about the Saints. There have been two stances since the loss: the panicked stance and the stance that is urging everyone else that everything is fine, ignoring that there are potential cracks in the Saints’ foundation.
We are here to be straight forward and right down the middle. It is far from time to panic, but there are some issues that could bubble up that was made more apparent after this game. Here are those concerns.
