Week 16 at Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL the last few weeks and it really is quite amazing to watch. The team has been red-hot since handing the quarterback duties over to Ryan Tannehill and actually now find themselves in a good position to make the playoffs.

Not only are the Titans in the hunt for an AFC Wild Card spot but they are only one game behind the Houston Texans and have two games against their division rivals.

It really is strange as Tannehill has always been that guy that everyone thought was really talented but never took that next step. He has taken it (thus far) with the Titans. The team is 5-1 in games that he has started and in those six starts, he has completed 71.9 percent of his passes for 1,458 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has three rushing touchdowns.

It helps that he has one of the most dominant running backs in the league that is heating up as well in Derrick Henry, who has 496 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the last three games alone.

The Titans are the mediocre team that gets hot down the stretch that we see every single year and they should be taken seriously. Trust me, I know, I have bet against them multiple times.

Let me set the stage: the Saints have beaten the 49ers and the Seahawks lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14. As a result, the Saints essentially have a two-game lead over both teams with two games to play.

New Orleans gets surprised by a Tennessee team that is fighting for the playoffs and drops a close road game to the Titans.

Prediction: 31-28, Tennesee Titans
