Possible Candidates for Next Pelicans Coach

Anyone who was expected a boring, run of the mill offseason for the New Orleans Pelicans this summer got hit with a dose of reality on Tuesday morning.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports broke the news that the Pelicans would be parting ways with five year head coach Monty Williams.

Though Monty performed admirably, the Pelicans did not want to end up like the Thunder, who may have waited a bit too long to fire Scott Brooks.

The opportunity to coach Anthony Davis in New Orleans will probably be highly sought after, so the Pelicans will have a lot of options to chose from. Only time will tell if their choice is the right one.
