The Seattle Seahawks were another team expected to hit the gate running this season and even to be better offensively with new potential redzone target in former Saints tight end Jimmy Graham.
Instead the team sits at a disappointing 2-3 on the season with their only wins coming against the lackluster Chicago Bears and squeaking a controversial win out over the 0-5 Detroit Lions.
Quarterback Russell Wilson has been harassed in all five games while being sacked 22 times(a 4.4 sack per game average) and throwing three interceptions to only six touchdowns.
Graham hasn’t proved to be the huge threat that was envisioned with only 21 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdowns to go along with what we all know are horrible blocking skills.
In a game where they had a 17-point fourth quarter lead against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, that would usually spell doom but the Cardiac Cats instead pulled a thrilling overtime victory, and the rug, out from under Seattle.
The undefeated Carolina Panthers, who are playing more like the Seahawks than Seattle is, will travel to CenturyLink Field in a contest that could put the Hawks at 2-4 and up against the wall in the NFC West with a dominant Arizona Cardinals out in front currently at 4-1.
