In the wake of the loss the national media could not stop talking about the total dominance of Alabama. Total? The Tide had to kick a field goal from the far edge of range just to open up a three point lead at halftime.

LSU had been pressuring Alabama QB Jake Coker at will during the first half and the offense had found the weak spots in Alabama’s pass defense during two second quarter scoring drives.
It took a poorly timed interception by LSU QB Brandon Harris throwing from the shadow of his own goalpost to turn momentum towards Alabama.
There were several moments where luck turned against LSU, but all in all this game was a close match until very late, one the Tigers had opportunities to win.
Like Alabama after their 6-3 loss to LSU in Tuscaloosa in 2011 the Tigers are hoping the stars wil align just right to give them a rematch.
