Ted Roof isn’t a familiar name to a lot of LSU fans, but he was a candidate for the position last year and will bear consideration again this year.
Roof has head coaching experience, which speaks to his overall ability and leadership. He also has critical experience recruiting in the SEC.
While serving as defensive coordinator at Auburn, Roof helped recruit NFL players Nick Fairley, Corey Lemonier and Dee Ford.
The combination of experience in the SEC West, a track record recruiting the Southeast, and a national championship ring won at Auburn make Roof a very strong candidate.
