Not every fan-base can boast that they got to enjoy watching a sure-fire 1st-ballot NFL Hall of Famer at quarterback– and arguably one of the best ever to have played the position — play in his prime.

More so then just the heart and talent that Drew Brees has brought to the position, it’s the contribution that he and his family have brought to the entire Gulf Coast region in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and beyond.

One would be hard pressed to find a single player who has meant more to his team, the region, or an entire fan-base, as Drew Brees has meant to the city of New Orleans and the surrounding region.

In a sense, Drew Brees IS the New Orleans Saints — and Saints fans both young and old are thankful that they were alive and are able to say, that they got to witness first-hand #9 play and bring a long-awaited World Championship, to their beloved NOLA.
