November 6, 2016; Santa Clara, CA, USA; New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (13) is congratulated by wide receiver Willie Snead (83) for scoring a touchdown against San Francisco 49ers free safety Eric Reid (35) during the fourth quarter at Levi

THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT

For the first time really since Saints head coach Sean Payton’s first team in 2006, this current 2016 Saints team has rebuilt themselves with a nucleus of YOUNG players.

Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead, Michael Thomas, Andrus Peat, Sheldon Rankins, Tyeler Davison, Stephone Anthony, Delvin Breaux, Damian Swann, Hau’oli Kikaha, PJ Williams, and Vonn Bell all have less than 4 years of professional football experience.

“Growing pains” are to be expected, and have certainly taken place; but all of them have already had some success in their young careers and a few have shown signs of potential stardom.

It is hard not to be excited watching these young men play, and learn.

While every Saints fan certainly is disappointed with where the 2016 appears to be headed, they also can’t help but be completely giddy with EXCITEMENT over what the prospects are for the future of this young team, in 2017 and beyond.
