1. The Green Bay Packers have been the beneficiaries of some luck

It is really easy to make the case that the Green Bay Packers’ record this season should not be as good as it is. Right now, the Packers are 7-1 and we can go through games and find games that they should have either lost or have simply been in the right place at the right time.

We will start with the most recent game first against the Kansas City Chiefs. Yes, the Packers did go into Kansas City and beat the Chiefs, but they were also coming up against Matt Moore instead of Patrick Mahomes and it is not like the Chiefs defense is anything special.

That game definitely goes differently with Mahomes in the game. The Packers still could have won but it would have been tougher.

Then you have the team’s one-point win against the Detriot Lions on Monday Night Football that we will all remember as the game that the referees won. The Packers should have absolutely lost that game.

The Packers have a much-better defense and have been getting a stellar season from Aaron Rodgers and we cannot simply ignore that. Could the Packers beat the Saints in the NFC Championship? Yes, they could, especially with Aaron Rodgers’ experience.

However, if those two games go as they should have and the Packers are 5-3 then they would not even be in the conversation.
