New Orleans Saints: Why the Saints are better than the Packers and 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have played creampuffs
The Green Bay Packers have a bit of this as well as they played some not so great teams but at least the weakest teams that they have beaten are still around .500. The teams that the Packers have beaten this season have a combined 26-25-1 record, so they are not all that bad.

On the contrary, the teams that the San Francisco 49ers have beaten have been terrible. The 49ers only have one good win this season against the Los Angeles Rams and even that was during the team’s three-game losing streak and that game could have been much different.
These are the teams that the 49ers are undefeated against: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers (without Ben Roethlisberger), Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers.
The combined record of those eight teams is 17-35.
The funny part is that people are looking at the win over Carolina as a win against a good team to prove how good the 49ers are. Yes, the Panthers were 4-2 in this game, but they were still on their backup quarterback and three of the four teams they had wins over do not have a winning record.
Jimmy Garoppolo has been good and the 49ers defense is pretty scary, especially with Nick Bosa‘s stellar start to his rookie year. But outside of the Rams, who are the perfect Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team, the 49ers have not proven it yet against a good team.
