Deaderick came to the Saints last year after being a 2010 seventh round pick out of Alabama for the New England Patriots.

He had his best years with them where he posted a total of 45 tackles and 5 sacks before being waived in 2013 where he bounced onto injured reserve while with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brought in for depth in the 2014 offseason, he rotated in and played 344 snaps for the Saints while only posting 8 total tackles and grading out at a -14.9 overall by ProFootballFocus.com.

His biggest claim to fame with New Orleans was the preseason brawl he had with now departed outside linebacker Junior Galette in the locker room and then reportedly was involved in a second altercation later in the season.

Deaderick is most likely to see some action against the Saints during their preseason matchup on August 30th at 3:00 p.m. CDT in New Orleans.

But with Vince Wilfork and Louis Nix III ahead of him on the depth chart, it’s unlikely he’ll see any playing time against them when they see each other during the regular season if he’s even still on the roster on November 29th at 12:00 p.m. CST, which is a home game for the Texans.
